Best Times to Visit Marrakech

Best Times to Visit Marrakech

The best times to visit Marrakech are from March through May and from October through November. The spring and fall shoulder seasons boast the most desirable weather and the smallest crowds. The only exception is Easter, which sees a spike in tourism and hotel rates. Despite brutally hot temperatures, summer is the most popular time to visit Marrakech. From June through August, you'll have to contend with throngs of tourists and sky-high room rates. The winter months see another spike in tourism with visitors heading to the Red City in search of warm temps. But don't underestimate the weather: Temperatures have been known to drop below freezing once the sun sets in the wintertime.
March - May :

Spring brings a fresh burst of color to the Red City, with the surrounding valleys displaying a variety of vibrant blossoms. Sunshine prevails, and average daytime highs rest in the 70s and low 80s, making ideal conditions for exploration. Just make sure to avoid Easter week, when thousands of travelers flock to the city.
June - Septembre :
Summertime in Marrakech is extremely hot with average highs bubbling over the triple-digit mark. But sizzling temps don't seem to bother tourists. During these three months, room rates skyrocket as Marrakech experiences an onslaught of sightseers. Just make sure you're mindful of the weather. Drink plenty of water and follow the locals' lead by staying in the shade between noon and 3 p.m., when the sun's rays are the most powerful.
