 DFB reveals why pay money for "Fifa"


The German Football Federation announced on Thursday that the money provided to the International Federation of Football "FIFA", the year 2005 did not have anything to do with obtaining Germany the right to host the 2006 World Cup.
Union explained that: "The money was to secure additional funding in the regulatory process."
Said Wolfgang Nersbach president of the German Federation in a press conference Thursday: "Everything is in the process of granting host the 2006 World Cup was intact .. There were not a secret allocations and there was no buying votes".
Nersbach explained that the amount given to FIFA and worth 6.7 million euros was to ensure the organizational support of up to 170 million euros.
Nersbach admitted that he did not know why FIFA demanded to pay this amount and that there are some questions that are still unanswered in this case.
